Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is the largest health care system in the San Francisco Bay Area exclusively dedicated to pediatrics and obstetric care. With Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at the center there are more than 65 locations in the Bay Area.

 

Director of Financial Decision Support Services

  • Evaluate and redefine vision and direction of the Financial Decision Support team.

  • Identifies and restructure workflows to improve timeliness and quality of deliverables. 

  • Work directly with VP of Finance on process improvement across the Finance Department.

  • Implement performance improvement program to identify knowledge gaps among employees.

  • Mentor Financial Decision Support Supervisor on management practices and task delegation.

  • Oversee Long Range Plan Alignment project to bring Stratajazz Strategic Planning module online.

  • Partner with IT to manage Workday implementation into EPSI and Stratajazz systems.

AVP of Decision Support for Financial & Operational Analytics

  • Work directly with Ardent Corporate Leadership and Divisional Executives to produce meaningful reports that aid in the decision-making process that directly affects the company’s bottom line.

  • Lead the corporate reporting and analytics team, made up of 10 analysts, with a wide range of expertise in the areas of finance, operations, and healthcare.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of hundreds of financial and operational reports along with hundreds of stats and  KPI’s to ensure accuracy and consistency across the company.

  • Provide business minded oversight and direction to the IT developers for any changes or improvements to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

  • Coordinate projects and provide guidance to the reporting and analytics team to ensure clarity and prioritization is being given to the most impactful projects. 

  • Responsible for ensuring key monthly reports, Net Revenue Model, Cost Model, Critical Indicators, Board Reports, Operating Reports, Key Performance Indicators and Stats, are delivered accurately and in a timely manner to company leaders.

  • Perform financial and data analysis for corporate level executives across a 20+ hospital system with 3,200 patient beds, 18,000 employees, and 475 employed physicians.

  • Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

  • Manage multiple projects and procedures in various subject matters, such as revenue cycle management, cost models, human resources, net revenue models and statistical metrics.

  • Provide assessments, in-depth analysis, and modelling within relational and multidimensional databases.

  • Create dashboards and reports to aid executives in strategic business decisions.

  • Establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management.

NCI AdvanceMed is a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contractor with approximately 500 employees tasked to help U.S Federal agencies reduce fraud, waste and abuse in government health programs

 

Senior Quality Control Specialist

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of Medicare/Medicaid claims data and data mining algorithms.

  • Coordinate corrective actions with data managers and subcontractors to ensure data integrity.

  • Develop new algorithms to support data, benefit integrity, medical review, and project analysts.

  • Organize and provide training on data analysis systems, algorithms, and data interpretation.

  • Provide end user support for data research programs, algorithms, structure, and Excel.

 

Project Consultant: Triage Team

  • Evaluate current procedures to identify cause of backlog and quality issue in outgoing workload.

  • Collaborate with a 5 member Project Team to develop new mentor-based training structure.

  • Evaluate Microsoft SharePoint integration as a solution to file organization and interactive training.

  • Present findings to management of an estimated $300,000 savings relative to worker’s increased productivity.

 

Program Integrity Analyst

  • Perform evaluations of over 400 complaints and potential fraud investigations in less than one year.

  • Approximately 25% resulted in recoupment of Medicare overpayments.

  • Utilize data analysis techniques to detect aberrancies and vulnerabilities in Medicare claims data.

  • Compile documentation to adhere to internal, governmental and IS0:9001 requirements.

  • Initiate administrative actions and recoupment of overpayments for non-compliant participants.

  • Provide individual mentoring for investigative procedures and fraud detection resources.
